I love boards where the mechanics go beyond the standard "Risk" approach. This one is a masterful example of the extent to which very complicated game play can be constructed in Wargear with the proper "coding." Having play tested more than a few of the early iterations of this board, I can tell you an extraordinary amount of time and effort when into developing it.

Well done Thingol!

I want to like this board, but the mechanics are confusing and the obscured history makes it impossible to figure out how the game has resolved. I've had several games where I've gone from a seemingly good position to eliminated in one turn, and haven't been able to determine why.

Complicated mechanics are ok if you can learn by playing and reviewing the history. The fog of war continuing beyond the end of the game is just frustrating.

Additional note: It appears the history is not intentionally obscured, rather that the site isn't processing the history correctly. I'm going to this the rating I think it deserves absent the history issue...and keep playing to figure this bad boy out.

I think this is an incredibly creative and well executed board design. It requires very unique strategies and rewards exploration in very fun ways. Once again it makes clear, that information is power!!!

Well done!

Any board where the first player to move can win without the second payer getting a turn needs some design rethinking. Particularly on a board only meant for two players

Interesting board. I think the card system is a bit high, though I have been told the base bonus poeple can rack up when they hold lots of castles and gems is comperable.

One issue, the game calculation for the axes (+2) seem to be broken. I rolled a 1,1 vs a 5,2 and I lost 2 armies (looks to me like it should have been one each i.e. 3,3 vs 5,2). Unless I rolled a -1 and my modified roll was a 1, something is a bit off.

Overall a creative board with interesting game play.
